As Principal in Charge, Jerry Brown worked with Liberty Mutual Insurance and the City of Boston to develop new planting, paving, site furnishing and lighting designs. The goal was to fit the image of the client while blending appropriately with the surrounding urban fabric. New technological solutions were developed to provide for a continuous treeway beneath the city sidewalk with irrigation and aeration techniques that ensure a significantly greater life-span for urban street trees. In addition, improvements to universal access of the site were made.
