G. Brown Design, Inc. worked with Kennecott Land to provide design review and development of a Grow, Install, and Maintain program to supply the thousands of trees, shrubs and groundcovers required for the 4,200-acre Phase One development at Daybreak, South Jordan. As part of the long-range 100,000-acre project, the Grow, Install, and maintain program is critical in ensuring that the plant material specified for the many streets, parks, and developed centers will be available in the quality, size, and quantity required.
The establishment of plant lists and development guidelines early in the design and construction process was considered a strategic element in creating a sense of community and in implementing the vision for the future.
