Community Recreation Center, Washington Terrace, UT

With the future in mind, G. Brown Design, Inc. planned the Washington Terrace Community Recreation Center site and landscape. The older recreation building has been removed and an L-shaped addition has been added to the existing recreation center. The existing parking lot was reconfigured and a planting island was added to shade and give scale to the parking lot. The existing tennis court, basketball court, and maintenance building remain.

The tot-lot and swings have patterned rubberized surfacing. Benches and a bike rack were placed on the perimeter of the active area. The main entry to the building is flanked by a bosque of flowering trees that opens into a plaza with moveable tables and umbrellas to create an outdoor space.
